The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Star for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3

Baroque Works is geared up to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the real showdown won’t take place until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced Tuesday that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will depict a version of that role reimagined as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the initial comic and cartoon version.

Escola will work alongside multiple fresh additions tasked with bringing the organization to life, featuring leader Mr. 0, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.

Although the role is a important part of the group, the individual will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the placement of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.

The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece show is set to return for its second season on March 10, 2026.
