Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by the Black Cats before the global break, however will the English top division leaders recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

The Hammers' only on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.

My son advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

They have got plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
