Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a individual who leaped a fence and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the Australian man bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more comment on Instagram.

Some attendees also criticised security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande looked startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a dual version of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two distinct witches.

The musical itself is a derivative of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, earning a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
